The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Eskuin in the 6th minute of play forced DOUGLAS HAIG's goalkeeper Rodolfo Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Bruno Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Jorrin's late challenge caught a Cascallares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Jorrin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, DOUGLAS HAIG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Jorrin to maneuver through the defense. Felix Eskuins short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Rodolfo Nardo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Desiderio Gelacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Nardo having to interfere. Eriberto Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Jorrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Cascallares FC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Sol. Desiderio Gelacio hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Nardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Eskuin in the 39th minute of play. Desiderio Gelacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Nardo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Desiderio Gelacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cascallares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Gelacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Nardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Eskuin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Desiderio Gelacio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorato Sol kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Eskuin in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Nardo saved DOUGLAS HAIG from getting behind. Desiderio Gelacio might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Nardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Desiderio Gelacio ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Felix Eskuin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Nardo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Cascallares FC's Felix Eskuin got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gogo Rey kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, DOUGLAS HAIG's Cosme Corderall broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the DOUGLAS HAIG defense, Felix Eskuin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Nardo. The DOUGLAS HAIG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Nardo should have stopped the shot. Rodolfo Nardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Eskuin's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Desiderio Gelacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cascallares FC fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Cascallares FC's Felix Eskuin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Honorato Sol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cascallares FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
