In the 3rd minute, Jairo Dolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th match minute, LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Silbestre to maneuver through the defense. LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD's Baldomiro Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Cebo in the 8th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Paulino Hegoi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mauro Cuarto scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomiro Nardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gualterio Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Leonides Rubio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Hegoi in the 25th minute of the match. Alejandro Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Rubio having to interfere. Leonides Rubio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Hegoi in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Mauro Cuarto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Nardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Marquezs short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Leonides Rubio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 40 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Marquez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonides Rubio. Baldomiro Marquez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The audience was convinced that Paulino Hegoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Rubio was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After 45 minutes, Lucas Bingen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD and the Cabred F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Hegoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Rubio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD's Paulino Hegoi got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angel Silbestre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Rubio having to make a save. The supporters of LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD booed when Cabred F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Hegoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Rubio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Hegoi ran back to his position shaking his head. LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD's Paulino Hegoi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Cabred F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Hegoi came free, but Leonides Rubio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alejandro Joanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustaquio Maureo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonides Rubio. Cabred F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paulino Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Rubio having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. LAS ESTRELLAS DE BANFIELD fully deserved thier win.
