If Cristian Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Deportivo Pisculichi defense, Edgard Lleir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prudencio Celio. The Deportivo Pisculichi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prudencio Celio should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Lleir got free with Prudencio Celio in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prudencio Celio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Pabla charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquin Pabla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Palmira's Roque Bras shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Prudencio Celio but with some difficulty. 24 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pisculichi's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Medina came free, but Prudencio Celio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Roberto Paez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prudencio Celio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Robustiano Rocio kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Benjamin Barto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nicasio Nastasio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Prudencio Celio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Palmira's Cristian Medina in the 41st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Prudencio Celio was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Deportivo Pisculichi through an amazing save. Severo Atauri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Donato Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Edgard Lleir sped through Deportivo Pisculichi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Prudencio Celio. Edgard Lleir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Celio having to interfere. Prudencio Celio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Lleir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Prudencio Celio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pisculichi's zone, Cristian Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Celio came out of the goal and Cristian Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Pisculichi's Prudencio Celio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Lleir in the 71st minute of play. Prudencio Celio came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Palmira's Edgard Lleir. But to his dismay, Edgard Lleir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Marcial Rameriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Donato Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Cristian Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Celio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palmira were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Deportivo Pisculichi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roque Bras took the corner. The corner led Palmira's Igor Loreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Prudencio Celio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 90 played minutes Palmira got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Nastasio. Edgard Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Palmira were the better team. Palmira's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
