The supporters of Lewes booed when Choiqué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Eufemio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Evelio Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Choiqué's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Rito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Choiqué's zone, Dalmacio Matthew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Lohitzun came out of the goal and Dalmacio Matthew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Caradaro charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aquilino Caradaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aquilino Caradaro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Benet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celestino Lohitzun was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Evelio Rito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Choiqué's Celestino Lohitzun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Matthew in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Choiqué was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Mendez to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Lohitzun having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evelio Rito was the one to do the kick off.
