With a little luck, Academia Redonda Juniors's Clemente Faro got control of the ball when Esteve Salvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Gergori in the 13th minute of play forced Gamba Tesa's goalkeeper Filomeno Eladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Urtzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oscar Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Urtzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Filomeno Eladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filomeno Eladio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Urtzi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Academia Redonda Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Lopez came free, but Clemente Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melquiades Pacifico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filomeno Eladio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Urtzi in the 42nd minute of play forced Gamba Tesa's goalkeeper Filomeno Eladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gamba Tesa's goalkeeper Filomeno Eladio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgardo Gergori to make the kick off. Lorenzo Urtzi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 51st playminute. Gamba Tesa's Filomeno Eladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Gergori in the 55th minute of play. Gamba Tesa's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edgardo Gergori 58 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Clemente Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Oscar Lopez struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Clemente Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gamba Tesa. Lorenzo Urtzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filomeno Eladio having to make a save. Edgardo Gergori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Academia Redonda Juniors's Edgardo Gergori sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Eladio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Gamba Tesa's zone, Edgardo Gergori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Eladio came out of the goal and Edgardo Gergori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Oscar Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Pacifico during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Academia Redonda Juniors's Melquiades Pacifico got a free kick in the 91st minute. Filomeno Eladio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Gergori, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Esteve Salvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Academia Redonda Juniors supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Academia Redonda Juniors would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
