After a defensive mix-up in poncho FC's zone, Marcial Mero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Truylos came out of the goal and Marcial Mero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Hitzeder hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes of play, FOXES's Marcial Mero made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Truylos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcial Mero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45thth minute of the game Teobaldo Salvatore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but poncho FC's Francisco Truylos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcial Mero in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Truylos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half FOXES were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Socorro made a kick off. A collision led to poncho FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Faustino Itzaina hit a great ball. Marcial Mero struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Francisco Truylos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FOXES. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Salvatore's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Truylos was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Marcial Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Larpe charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Larpe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, FOXES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Larpe to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Vicente Muno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Diagur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FOXES played a much better game than poncho FC and deserved their victory. The poncho FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
