In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate CABALLITO's goalkeeper Ruben Balesio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Antonio Fonda fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate CABALLITO's protests and gave Antonio Fonda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, River Plate CABALLITO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Fonda to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes River Plate CABALLITO got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Fonda. 27 minutes into the match, River Plate CABALLITO's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Papo came free, but Ruben Balesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Papo in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Balesio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Huascha booed when River Plate CABALLITO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Eneto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Balesio having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Eduardo Eate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narciso Hunfredo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Balesio. Ruben Balesio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Maore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ruben Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Papo in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Txatxu in the 67th minute of play forced River Plate CABALLITO's goalkeeper Ruben Balesio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anselmo Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to River Plate CABALLITO getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Isaias Florian hit a great ball. Ruben Balesio made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Narciso Hunfredo sent off a good shot on target. If Anselmo Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the River Plate CABALLITO defense, Narciso Hunfredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Balesio. The River Plate CABALLITO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Balesio should have stopped the shot. Armando Maore hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. River Plate CABALLITO's Ruben Balesio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Txatxu in the 89th minute of play. Anselmo Papo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Balesio having to interfere. Ruben Balesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Txatxu in the 97th minute of play. The Huascha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
