RIBER PLATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Gutxi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Errando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Chusca booed when RIBER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Endira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Gutxi's late challenge caught a Chusca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anier Gutxi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chusca booed when RIBER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Sabino charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafin Sabino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, RIBER PLATE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Sabino to maneuver through the defense. If Eriberto Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eriberto Obeko sped through RIBER PLATE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clodoveo Nahia. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cipriano Dantel was the one to do the kick off. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Chusca's Jacobo Iratxo in the 51st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Clodoveo Nahia was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for RIBER PLATE through an amazing save. 53 minutes into the match, RIBER PLATE's goalkeeper Clodoveo Nahia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto Obeko. If Clodoveo Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chusca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eriberto Obeko in the 59th minute. Eriberto Obeko made a great header on Chusca's corner, it was just that RIBER PLATE's Clodoveo Nahia managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clodoveo Barea got free with Clodoveo Nahia in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd play minute Eriberto Obeko came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Clodoveo Nahia. 0-4. Clodoveo Nahia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justino Laffitte in the 82nd minute. Eriberto Obeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Clodoveo Nahia managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Chusca's Eriberto Obeko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eriberto Obeko took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clodoveo Nahia. Clodoveo Nahia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 92nd match minute, Chusca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Obeko to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Chusca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RIBER PLATE throughout the match.
