Spectators: 6693 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 30) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ismael Tartalo started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Ismael Tartalo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pastor Estavan. Epuyén's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Tartalo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Epuyén's goalkeeper Pastor Estavan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rene Chano during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Esmeralda booed when Epuyén was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Chano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Markel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 12th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Cleto Piarres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rene Chano struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Francisco Suero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Epuyén. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Epuyén's goalkeeper Pastor Estavan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cleto Piarres struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Francisco Suero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Epuyén. After a defensive mix-up in Esmeralda's zone, Venancio Olayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Suero came out of the goal and Venancio Olayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaudencio Ugutz kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Cleto Piarres made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Suero. Esmeralda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ismael Tartalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Estavan having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Valente to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Cleto Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Suero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Epuyén's goalkeeper Pastor Estavan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Suarez. Arnaldo Abajas's late challenge caught a Esmeralda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Abajas helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaldo Abajas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Esmeralda's Prospero Markel tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Antonio Ignatius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esmeralda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Epuyén the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Valente in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Suero saved Esmeralda from getting behind. Juan Suarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Pastor Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Gaudencio Ugutz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeralda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Ugutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Ignatius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Estavan having to interfere. With a little luck, Epuyén's Pastor Estavan got control of the ball when Juan Suarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 80 minutes, Gaudencio Ugutz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esmeralda and the Epuyén players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Gaudencio Ugutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute of the match Arnaldo Abajas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Suero skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Valente in the 84th minute of play forced Esmeralda's goalkeeper Francisco Suero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cleto Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
