The referee ignored Lalaine Team's protests and gave Edelmiro Alfonso a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, La banda del Matadero's Igor Gai got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hernan Guifre. In the 25th match minute, Lalaine Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Darien to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Darien in the 28th minute of play forced La banda del Matadero's goalkeeper Ubaldo Ramirez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes Lalaine Team got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Darien. Silvano Isauro kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Lalaine Team's goalkeeper Hernan Guifre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Eliazar. After a rather tough play, Lalaine Team's Donato Pepillo got a free kick in the 41st minute. Igor Gai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hernan Guifre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Ladio made a kick off. Hernan Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Iban, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lalaine Team's zone, Rogelio Eliazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Guifre came out of the goal and Rogelio Eliazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Igor Gai came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the La banda del Matadero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Gai couldn't finish the play. Igor Gai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernan Guifre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Eliazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, La banda del Matadero's goalkeeper Ubaldo Ramirez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lisandro Darien. Lucas Iban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Hernan Guifre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
