Marco Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Fernandes having to interfere. Atlético Vieste's Leandro Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Pierres in the 8th minute of play. Marco Luix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Fernan Cilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Pierres in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Fernandes saved Atlético Vieste from getting behind. Nereo Pierres in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leandro Fernandes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Atlético Vieste's Fernan Cilio got a free kick in the 18th minute. Marco Luix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Leandro Fernandes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Damaso Baristo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Fonda in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Atlético Vieste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Fonda to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Marco Luix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fenix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Fenix getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Urbano Truylos hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Jacinto Ticho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nereo Pierres scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Fernandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nereo Pierres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Leandro Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nereo Pierres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Leandro Fernandes made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Romulo Fonda made the kick off in the second half. Fenix's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Romulo Fonda scored to the left of an out of position Damaso Baristo, making the score, 2-1. Esteve Fix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Vieste were furious when Eloy Pacho was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Atlético Vieste fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fenix a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nereo Pierres, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Vieste's Leandro Fernandes. 3-1. When Ovidio Lon fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Vieste's protests and gave Ovidio Lon a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Luix struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Leandro Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenix. Marco Luix might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Luix ran back to his position shaking his head. Leandro Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Pierres, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Fenix's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Urbano Truylos in the 79th minute. A nice corner shot did that Urbano Truylos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leandro Fernandes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Atlético Vieste defense, Nereo Pierres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Fernandes. The Atlético Vieste fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Fernandes should have stopped the shot. When Esteve Fix came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Atlético Vieste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Fix couldn't finish the play. If Nereo Pierres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Pierres in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th minute Fenix were awarded a corner. Urbano Truylos went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 95th minute of the match Mariano Tibalt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Fernandes skillfully saved the ball. Marco Luix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Nereo Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Pierres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Fenix were the better team. Fenix's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
