AMQ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sambuca FC the free kick. In the 16th minute, Placido Matei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AMQ's Segundo Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Iyan in the 18th minute of play. AMQ's Oscar Bernal got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Oscar Bernal made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sambuca FC's Julio Cesaro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Oscar Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Sambuca FC's goalkeeper Julio Cesaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Bernal. After a rather tough play, AMQ's Eustaquio Hermelando got a free kick in the 31st minute. Segundo Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Gregory in the 33rd minute of play. Julio Cesaro made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Oscar Bernal sent off a good shot on target. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when AMQ's Jesus Serafo in the 36th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Julio Cesaro was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sambuca FC through an amazing save. Oscar Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Cesaro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sambuca FC's zone, Jesus Serafo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Cesaro came out of the goal and Jesus Serafo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bonifacio Gregory stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Alfredo Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot. AMQ's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Acuña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Cesaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ambrosio Conrao during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Sambuca FC got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Conrao. In the 59th minute, Jesus Serafo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sambuca FC's Julio Cesaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Bernal in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Sambuca FC's Leopoldo Iyan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Segundo Dimas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Segundo Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Gregory in the 67th minute of play. If Leopoldo Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Jesus Serafo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AMQ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Serafo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sambuca FC's zone, Oscar Bernal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Cesaro came out of the goal and Oscar Bernal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Bonifacio Gregory fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Segundo Dimas, passed just outside the right post. If Bonifacio Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Segundo Dimas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Iyan struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Segundo Dimas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sambuca FC. If Bonifacio Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Bernal might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Cesaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Bernal ran back to his position shaking his head. AMQ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sambuca FC for a fine match.
