With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justo Fonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in La Armonía's zone, Ermegildo Playo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Fonso came out of the goal and Ermegildo Playo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Raimundo Jerico came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the La Armonía fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Jerico couldn't finish the play. La Armonía's Justo Fonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save La Armonía from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the game, Chaco For Ever's Erasmo Weterio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Weterio scored 2-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Justo Fonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

With an all-out effort, La Armonía's Roberto Martinez threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Feliberto Loiola, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to La Armonía getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Feliberto Loiola hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Modesto Pirro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erasmo Weterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chaco For Ever's Roberto Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Madaleno in the 89th minute of play. During the 90th minute of the match Paulo Donostia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paulo Donostia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 91st minute, Paulo Donostia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Chaco For Ever's goalkeeper Roberto Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Jerico. Feliberto Loiola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Roberto Martinez made a huge save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chaco For Ever had played much better football throughout.
