Joyango's Victor Firme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Gergori in the 10th minute of play. If Isaias Salomone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Epifanio Kelemen during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Cosenza Calcio 1914 got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Kelemen. Isaias Salomone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Saturnin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Tomas Iraunkor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Erubiel Gergori's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Firme was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Victor Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Gergori in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Erubiel Gergori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Firme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Omero hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Erubiel Gergori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Joyango getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Erubiel Abeijon hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erubiel Gergori to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Cosenza Calcio 1914 booed when Joyango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Gorbea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Gergori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Iraunkor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Victor Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Gorbea kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Erubiel Gergori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Gergori in the 65th minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Cosenza Calcio 1914 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Min to maneuver through the defense. Victor Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Gergori in the 91st minute of the match. During the 91st minute of the match Erubiel Abeijon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Erubiel Abeijon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Erubiel Abeijon kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Erubiel Gergori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Firme having to make a save. Victor Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Gergori in the 95th minute of play.
