After a defensive mix-up in Benevento Calcio's zone, Evelio Acuña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Omero came out of the goal and Evelio Acuña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Evelio Acuña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angau Futbol Club's Baltasar Etor managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Urtzi in the 26 minute of the game. Evelio Acuña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Omero having to interfere. Blas Paio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Omero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Evelio Acuña came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Angau Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Acuña couldn't finish the play. Luis Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Primo having to interfere. Primitivo Casado might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Omero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Casado ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Evelio Acuña made the kick off in the second half. Joaquin Omero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Acuña's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Angau Futbol Club's Evelio Acuña nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Omero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Evelio Acuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Benevento Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Quinto to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Angau Futbol Club booed when Benevento Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benevento Calcio's Joaquin Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Acuña in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Baltasar Etor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Joaquin Omero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
