Gonzalo Jokin charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Jokin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pablo Bazkoare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Selmo having to interfere. Roman Joseph received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Flavio Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 32 minutes, Ariel Frascuelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester City and the El Facu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manchester City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernardino Chucho ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Manchester City's goalie and right to Carmelo Gabrio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Manchester City's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 42 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Osasun came free, but Cosme Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Facu getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Faustino Jerico hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 55th match minute, El Facu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Osasun to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Roman Joseph managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Joseph was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Selmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Roman Joseph came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Manchester City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Joseph couldn't finish the play. Roman Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carmelo Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pastor Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manchester City's Cosme Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Osasun in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Pastor Osasun managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Facu's supporters rose to their feet, but Pastor Osasun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosme Felipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cosme Felipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Osasun in the 93rd minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
