Club Atletico Platense's Zeledon Matei got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Gutierrez in the 12th minute of play. Dante Orzaize charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dante Orzaize the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ancajuli FC booed when Club Atletico Platense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Orzaize didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Baldomero Gutierrez came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ancajuli FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomero Gutierrez couldn't finish the play. If Baldomero Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 21 minutes, Miguel Lucado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Platense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Lucado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Lucado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Quilo in the 30th minute of play forced Club Atletico Platense's goalkeeper Leon Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Club Atletico Platense got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Belarmo. Arturo Urki came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Platense's Miguel Lucado. But to his dismay, Miguel Lucado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celso Quilo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes, Ancajuli FC's Matias Gregory shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leon Rosalio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ancajuli FC reached it. When Edgardo Perutxo fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Platense's protests and gave Edgardo Perutxo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute Celso Quilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Rosalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Evangelista kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Arturo Urki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Matei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Benvide's late challenge caught a Ancajuli FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Benvide helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Platense's Enzo Benvide got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Arturo Urki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeledon Matei went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Baldomero Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Loco during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Matias Gregory sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Club Atletico Platense's Leon Rosalio didn't even have to move. After having played for 93 minutes, Celso Quilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ancajuli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Quilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atletico Platense were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ancajuli FC for a fine match.
