The referee showed Pablo Emeterio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Charbonier's Pablo Emeterio got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Lucio Ekhi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Inge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Deportivo Azul's Modesto Quintan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Inge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deportivo Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Quintan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61stth minute of the game Modesto Quintan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charbonier's Aldo Inge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guaberto Ugutz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Azul's zone, Tadeo Urtats stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Veronica came out of the goal and Tadeo Urtats tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Modesto Quintan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Quintan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Inge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
