In the 22nd minute, Carlos Ibon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santiago Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Lehen in the 23rd minute of play. Santiago Mark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Lehen in the 26th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Normando couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute Jonathan Hever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sumalao's Amadeo Garikoitz got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Espinillo AFC's Jacobo Normando in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arsenio Argider's late challenge caught a Espinillo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arsenio Argider helped the player get up and apologised. Arsenio Argider hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Sumalao succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Espinillo AFC had controlled the match.
