The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Silbestre during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Delmiro Lekubegi's late challenge caught a La Caberock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmiro Lekubegi helped the player get up and apologised. Delmiro Lekubegi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Alvaro Hermon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Natalio Bero came out and tried to block the shot, but Alvaro Hermon slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 24th minute. In the 27th match minute, Luján was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Confesor to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Luján defense, Niceto Abeita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Hanni. The Luján fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Hanni should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute of the match Filomeno Raymon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Hanni skillfully saved the ball. Marcial Confesor kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Maura in the 41st minute of play forced Luján's goalkeeper Humberto Hanni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Luján's Alvaro Behe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Natalio Bero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Alvaro Hermon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Natalio Bero. That made the score 4-2 in the 43 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

Alvaro Behe charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Behe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of La Caberock booed when Luján was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Behe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Behe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Bero having to make a save. Humberto Hanni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Abeita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Fabricio Miliano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Hanni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Nikola in the 63rd minute of play forced La Caberock's goalkeeper Natalio Bero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alvaro Behe came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Luján fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Behe couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Hermon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Natalio Bero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Behe took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natalio Bero. Natalio Bero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Alvaro Behe struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Natalio Bero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján. Joel Orland hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Alvaro Hermon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Alvaro Hermon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Bero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natalio Bero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Behe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luján were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after La Caberock's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcial Confesor took the corner. Luján's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
