With an all-out effort, Cleipole FC's Arnaldo Basualdo threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leopoldo Basualdo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 6 minutes into the match, Murat Selim Raşit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Basualdo. Atlético de Rafaela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murat Selim Raşit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Leon Gonsalve's late challenge caught a Cleipole FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Gonsalve helped the player get up and apologised. Leon Gonsalve kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ruben Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Libertad in the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Paulo Carlomagno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cleipole FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético de Rafaela the free kick. Arnaldo Basualdo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Chano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 26 minutes into the game, Murat Selim Raşit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cleipole FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético de Rafaela the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cleipole FC's Murat Selim Raşit got a free kick in the 27th minute. Cleipole FC were furious when Amadeo Beila was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 33rd minute, Amadeo Beila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Enzo Maule managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético de Rafaela's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Maule was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Lalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruben Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Libertad in the 36th minute of play. Theodor Torsvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Arnaldo Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Cleipole FC's Gaston Seme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Basualdo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Enzo Ler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Rafaela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Ler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Theodor Torsvik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo Basualdo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Arnaldo Basualdo managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Cleipole FC's Theodor Torsvik fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquin Behe to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Theodor Torsvik in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Basualdo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Theodor Torsvik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atlético de Rafaela booed when Cleipole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murat Selim Raşit didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Cleipole FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Behe came free, but Ruben Lalla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Basualdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodor Torsvik in the 68th minute of play. Theodor Torsvik might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Basualdo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Theodor Torsvik ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnaldo Basualdo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theodor Torsvik's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Theodor Torsvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Basualdo having to interfere. When Murat Selim Raşit came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Cleipole FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murat Selim Raşit couldn't finish the play. Theodor Torsvik struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Arnaldo Basualdo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cleipole FC. Murat Selim Raşit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnaldo Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theodor Torsvik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaldo Basualdo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Theodor Torsvik, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 95 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arnaldo Basualdo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
