Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Melquiades Beturian kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Honorio Blasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Tauro in the 6th minute of play forced Garza IB's goalkeeper Angel Sustrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliberto Iratxos short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Ovidio Selatse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Garza IB getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Melquiades Beturian hit a great ball. Eliseo Mateo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel Sustrai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Angel Sustrai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Salvator in the 18th minute of the match. If Eliseo Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Beturian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Chancay's Ovidio Selatse got control of the ball when Feliberto Iratxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes, Alberto Seme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garza IB and the Chancay players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Ildefonso Tauro came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Chancay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Tauro couldn't finish the play. After 36 played minutes Garza IB got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Hunfredo. After a rather tough play, Garza IB's Guillermo Guzman got a free kick in the 40th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Garza IB's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Tauro came free, but Angel Sustrai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Mateo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Mateo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Sustrai having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Eliseo Mateo took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Angel Sustrai to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th minute, Ildefonso Tauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Garza IB getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Carmelo Artal hit a great ball. If Melquiades Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Sustrai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mateo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eliseo Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Chancay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mateo couldn't finish the play. Ildefonso Tauro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Angel Sustrai made a huge save. When Eliseo Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Chancay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mateo couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Ildefonso Tauro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chancay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 82 played minutes Chancay got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Odol. Ladislao Salvator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Sustrai having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Melquiades Beturian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidio Selatse was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The Chancay players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
