If Tadeo Enekoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Team Gelmetti's Genaro Regis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Enekoitz in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, C.A.BOCA JRS's Dario Savion got control of the ball when Evelio Millan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dario Savion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evelio Millan in the 27th minute. Dario Savion was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Angelo Joseph capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Angelo Joseph really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Evelio Millan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A.BOCA JRS's Dario Savion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Pudes in the 33rd minute of play. The long shot by Rodolfo Laurgain in the 34th minute really tested Dario Savion's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 35 minutes into the game, Angelo Joseph recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dario Savion. Angelo Joseph showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. If Delmiro Diagur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Pudes to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Pudes in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Savion prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fernando Pudes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C.A.BOCA JRS's Casimiro Dominguez got a free kick in the 60th minute. Casimiro Dominguez's late challenge caught a Team Gelmetti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Casimiro Dominguez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Casimiro Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Edgardo Acosta sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Genaro Regis threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Edgardo Acosta this time. Genaro Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Diagur in the 74th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Fernando Pudes put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dario Savion. With a little luck, Team Gelmetti's Genaro Regis got control of the ball when Tadeo Enekoitz tried to sneak it across the goal line.
