When Vinicio Peio fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puerto Nuevo's protests and gave Vinicio Peio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Puerto Nuevo's Vinicio Peio got a free kick in the 40th minute. Oncativo AFC's Saverio Eskuin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Oncativo AFC from getting a goal against them. After 44 minutes, Oscar Behe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oncativo AFC and the Puerto Nuevo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Oncativo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Behe. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horacio Ramone was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Puerto Nuevo booed when Oncativo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Iker Jacob managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puerto Nuevo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Jacob was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Oncativo AFC's zone, Vinicio Peio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Eskuin came out of the goal and Vinicio Peio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Vinicio Peio put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saverio Eskuin. 77 minutes in the game Uriel Jerico did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Isidro Paskal. After some careless play in the Oncativo AFC defense, Vinicio Peio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saverio Eskuin. The Oncativo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saverio Eskuin should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Puerto Nuevo's Vinicio Peio got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Uriel Jerico charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
