The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Saldungaray's Higinio Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Ladio in the 4th minute of play. Laureano Oroitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnoldo Sanson in the 6th minute of the match. Emiliano Xabel struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Higinio Frechoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Planet Express. After 9 minutes, Basilio Miliano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saldungaray and the Planet Express players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Higinio Frechoso, was totally fooled by Planet Express's Anier Ladio, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 15th minute, Benito Guillen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Tonete hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match.
