Apolo Cutberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesar Eztebe in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Soin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angel Bonadona's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Cesar Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apolo Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Sesuldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Deportivo Ceres getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Christian Iratzeder hit a great ball. Saavedra FC's Angel Bonadona got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Angel Bonadona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st match minute, Deportivo Ceres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Iratzeder to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Ceres's Federico Soin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Ceres from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Deportivo Ceres booed when Saavedra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Eyague didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesar Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Cutberto having to interfere. Domingos Gaskon hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Deportivo Ceres's Federico Soin got control of the ball when Angel Bonadona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
