The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorino Brun during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Victorino Brun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Maximiliano Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Femafris FC's Marcelo Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Uxio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute Victorino Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Uxio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Christian Uxio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Femafris FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sheffield had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
