After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Jesus Ederono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mendiolaza fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Ederono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Turi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geronimo Pereyra to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play Mendiolaza fc's Arturo Fidencio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Vale fb booed when Mendiolaza fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Fidencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Ortle, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Herrera in the 65th minute of play forced Mendiolaza fc's goalkeeper Bonifacio Burni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Ederono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Turi having to interfere. Isidoro Vedillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jesus Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Elvio Tono had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bonifacio Burni. Mendiolaza fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Tono was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Vale fb supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vale fb would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
