After 14 minutes of play, Gobernador Costa F.C's Eleuterio Asur made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adan Tello was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Stephen got free with Ezequiel Ralondo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ezequiel Ralondo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Victor Garin. Sauzal's Adan Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Asur in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Gobernador Costa F.C's Fabian Locaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adan Tello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Sauzal's zone, Aristides Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Tello came out of the goal and Aristides Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd match minute, Gobernador Costa F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Santikurtz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Javier Stephen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sauzal's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Stephen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Ralondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ezequiel Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Salbatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adan Tello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Fernandes in the 38th minute of the match. Ezequiel Ralondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Stephen in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Gobernador Costa F.C were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Gobernador Costa F.C's Cristo Rocendo got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Mateo Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adan Tello was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victorio Chano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. After 61 played minutes Gobernador Costa F.C got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Sabino. After 66 minutes of play, Sauzal's Javier Stephen made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ezequiel Ralondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Segundo Sabino fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gobernador Costa F.C's protests and gave Segundo Sabino a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gobernador Costa F.C's Segundo Sabino got a free kick in the 94th minute. When Javier Stephen came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Sauzal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Stephen couldn't finish the play. Gobernador Costa F.C played a much better game than Sauzal and deserved their victory. The Sauzal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
