The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Quirze got free with Laureano Florian in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Senio in the 16th minute of play forced Ledesma FC's goalkeeper Gerardo Chico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Hernan Benet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Florian came out of the goal and Hernan Benet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The goalkeeper, Laureano Florian, was totally fooled by Ledesma FC's Pedro Quirze, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Ledesma FC's Amancio Kinsen got a free kick in the 27th minute. Victorio Orain hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match.
