That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, RB Salzburgo's goalkeeper Herminio Nataniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Goito. MAKUNA MATATA 2's Rafael Dolcet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Romo in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MAKUNA MATATA 2's zone, Generoso Romo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Dolcet came out of the goal and Generoso Romo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Matias Favila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Dolcet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, RB Salzburgo's Matias Favila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Dolcet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Romo in the 28th minute of play forced MAKUNA MATATA 2's goalkeeper Rafael Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Donzel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Herminio Nataniel made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Americo Donzel got free with Herminio Nataniel in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the match, Roberto Goito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Herminio Nataniel, 2-1. Rafael Dolcet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Romo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes MAKUNA MATATA 2 got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Frutos. After a rather tough play, MAKUNA MATATA 2's Octavio Hondo got a free kick in the 41st minute. Rafael Dolcet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Romo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Herminio Nataniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Eladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 minutes, Zeledon Amaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RB Salzburgo and the MAKUNA MATATA 2 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Zeledon Amaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Generoso Romo to make the kick off. RB Salzburgo's Nemesio Nastasio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 72nd minute Roberto Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Nataniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Zeledon Amaya put in a rough tackle. In the 75th minute, Morten Schmidlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After recieving a nice pass, MAKUNA MATATA 2's Morten Schmidlin tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Americo Donzel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herminio Nataniel. RB Salzburgo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Americo Donzel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Herminio Nataniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Goito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, MAKUNA MATATA 2's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Favila came free, but Rafael Dolcet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Dolcet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Favila in the 90th minute of play. Alfredo Frutos kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. RB Salzburgo's Herminio Nataniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Bán in the 94th minute of play.
