Erubiel Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Manuel Platon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Ruy in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Platon saved Otumpa from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Rene Oalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victorino Olo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Zeledon Mateus from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Christian Soin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marco Quiroga hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Manuel Platon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingo Orlin's late challenge caught a Doping Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingo Orlin helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Otumpa got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Orlin. In the 33rd minute, Erubiel Ruy made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Platon. Otumpa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Erubiel Ruy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Platon having to make a save. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erubiel Ruy to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the game, Erubiel Ruy lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Manuel Platon. In the 67th match minute, Otumpa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Orlin to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erubiel Ruy in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Platon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otumpa's Manuel Platon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Otumpa from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Bieito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Platon was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Erubiel Ruy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Platon. That made the score 0-4 in the 90 minute of play. Doping Futbol Club played a much better game than Otumpa and deserved their victory. The Otumpa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
