Jorge Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Ranolfo in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th match minute, Progresso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Orlin to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Nahia might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Mino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Nahia ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute Armando Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Dolfo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes La Curtiembre FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Baristo. After 20 minutes, Abelardo Sansone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Curtiembre FC and the Progresso players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Abelardo Sansone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Baristo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Haroldo Nahia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jorge Mino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute, Progresso's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Haroldo Nahia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aquiles Luzea's late challenge caught a La Curtiembre FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Luzea helped the player get up and apologised. Aquiles Luzea kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Progresso defense, Haroldo Nahia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Mino. The Progresso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Mino should have stopped the shot. Jorge Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Haroldo Nahia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Jorge Mino made a huge save. Jorge Mino was a little too slow when Ariel Cesario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. After a rather tough play, La Curtiembre FC's Humberto Dolfo got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Haroldo Nahia made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Haroldo Nahia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Mino was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 55th minute Haroldo Umea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Quinto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Haroldo Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mino having to interfere. Jorge Mino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Nahia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Mino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo Nahia's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Jorge Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Ulises Gimenez kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Jonatan Baristo hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Armando Ranolfo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Mino. Progresso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Ranolfo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. The supporters of Progresso booed when La Curtiembre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Heriberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the La Curtiembre FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
