The supporters of Anor londo booed when General Roca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Orlondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Hunfredo in the 5th minute of play forced General Roca's goalkeeper Elvio Firme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Hunfredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Firme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Amado Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Guilabertus, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Bernardo Luzaide was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, one of Anor londo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Anor londo. The crowd rose to their feet as Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amado Ascencio. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Fernando Diaz could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Amado Ascencio however easily saved by the left post. Amado Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Guilabertus in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to General Roca getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hilario Guilabertus hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hilario Guilabertus got free with Amado Ascencio in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Hilario Guilabertus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amado Ascencio. That made the score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Salvador Hunfredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

51 minutes into the match, Anor londo's goal looked a bit too open when Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate came free, but Amado Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bernardo Tohias came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the General Roca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Tohias couldn't finish the play. After 60 minutes, Hilario Guilabertus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the General Roca and the Anor londo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hilario Guilabertus got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 68 played minutes General Roca got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Guilabertus. 70 minutes into the match, General Roca's goalkeeper Elvio Firme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by German Hitz. After 71 played minutes Anor londo got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Urki. Anor londo's Amado Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Orlondo in the 77th minute of play. Amado Ascencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Aguilera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Anor londo's goal looked a bit too open when Pitoy Martínez de Aldunate came free, but Amado Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Camilo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Rene Orlondo made a precise shot to the right of Amado Ascencio. Anor londo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. General Roca's Gustavo Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amado Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Aguilera in the 85th minute of play. Gustavo Aguilera's late challenge caught a Anor londo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Aguilera helped the player get up and apologised. Amado Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Aguilera, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Fernando Diaz scored 4-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amado Ascencio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that General Roca were the better team. General Roca's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
