With an all-out effort, Despechá F.C.'s Alfredo Froila threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eulalio Illart, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Illart in the 21st minute of play forced QFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Despechá F.C.'s zone, Anibal Erramu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Salas came out of the goal and Anibal Erramu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 33 minutes Despechá F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victorio Teyo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Victorio Teyo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iker Salas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 34th match minute, QFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Teyo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Sabin got free with Alfredo Froila in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Mogel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, QFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Erramu to maneuver through the defense. If Pastor Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Marin in the 66th minute of play forced QFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bernabe Honrio came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Despechá F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernabe Honrio couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, QFC's Yulian Borachev got a free kick in the 81st minute. QFC's Alfredo Froila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Illart in the 85th minute of play. Franco Spada kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Basualdo in the 88th minute of play forced QFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Froila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despechá F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
