After a defensive mix-up in Arrutó's zone, Isaac Endira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sixto Heriberto came out of the goal and Isaac Endira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Arrutó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Gonsalvo in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Arrutó getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Paolo Brion hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Isaac Endira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Yuri Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrutó's Maximo Bartuelo. But to his dismay, Maximo Bartuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The wind increased when Anibal Iaki made the kick off in the second half. Ambrosio Leheren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Yuri Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Isaac Endira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sixto Heriberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Ceferino Gonsalvo could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Yuri Hoffmann however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 70 minutes, Isaac Endira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Endira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Isaac Endira came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Manchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Endira couldn't finish the play. Anibal Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Matthew. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceferino Gonsalvo got free with Yuri Hoffmann in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Leheren in the 97th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Yuri Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Arrutó failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
