Spectators: 7306 (Terracing: 5481, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angel Noe started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Marcos Isaio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erasto Cañaveral. Marcos Isaio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Silvestre Rudolfo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Erasto Cañaveral made a huge save. If Silvestre Rudolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cirilo Santxol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasto Cañaveral having to interfere. Erasto Cañaveral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Isaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Gustavo Pere left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Retiro Deportivo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Froilan Henric in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Retiro Deportivo's Cayetano Abaunza. In the 29th match minute, Retiro Deportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Noe to maneuver through the defense. Angel Noe's late challenge caught a Trelew's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angel Noe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th match minute, Retiro Deportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Noe to maneuver through the defense. Erasto Cañaveral made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Silvestre Rudolfo sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes, Leon Javiero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Retiro Deportivo and the Trelew players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Retiro Deportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Javiero to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Isaio to make the kick off. Marcos Isaio scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erasto Cañaveral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Noe in the 61st minute of play. Trelew's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Angel Noe scored to the left of an out of position Claudio Argoitz, making the score, 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Marcos Isaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trelew's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Isaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasto Cañaveral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Marcos Isaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erasto Cañaveral was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When Angel Noe came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Retiro Deportivo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Noe couldn't finish the play. If Marcos Isaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Trelew's Marcos Isaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasto Cañaveral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Trelew fully deserved thier win.
