Rene Herensuge struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Tiburcio Meder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uraguey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Gustavsson in the 5th minute of play forced Los Pachorras FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiburcio Meder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Gustavsson in the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Gustavsson in the 15th minute of play forced Los Pachorras FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Meder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Reyes charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Reyes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Los Pachorras FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Reyes. Los Pachorras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uraguey the free kick. Tiburcio Meder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Herensuge in the 22nd minute of play. Gabriel Gustavsson took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiburcio Meder. Tiburcio Meder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Los Pachorras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Gustavsson came free, but Tiburcio Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, Uraguey's Gabriel Gustavsson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiburcio Meder was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Luisito Marko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Uraguey were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 54 minutes, Casimiro Selmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Pachorras FC and the Uraguey players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Casimiro Selmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Los Pachorras FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Meder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Gustavsson. Tiburcio Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Los Pachorras FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Meder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Big Banana. The referee ignored Uraguey's protests and gave Big Banana a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the match, Los Pachorras FC's Natalio Baristo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elvio Baudelio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Uraguey booed when Los Pachorras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Marko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Meder having to interfere. In the 88th minute Big Banana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Meder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Big Banana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tiburcio Meder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Big Banana was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Uraguey's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Uraguey's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
