If Amado Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburones's Victorino Olayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Sugar in the 28th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Domenec got free with Amador Tomi in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Victorino Olayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Gregory, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Iker Indartsu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Amador Tomi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Manuel Bero. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amado Domenec made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Lino Ignado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Domenec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Tiburones booed when Espinillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Domenec in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Tomi saved Espinillo AFC from getting behind.
