Ariel del Plata's Elpidio Roldanillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Vachon in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Ariel del Plata got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Lohitzun. 32 minutes into the match, Ariel del Plata's goalkeeper Elpidio Roldanillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Candido Dabi. Elpidio Roldanillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Ezkerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Menendo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ariel del Plata getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Nestor Ralondo hit a great ball. Alejandro Guifre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The excursio fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ariel del Plata's performance. The match ended with a win for Ariel del Plata.
