The crowd rose to their feet as Lugano Futbol's Eloy Herauso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Honorio Frederico. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Hermengildo Liberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Honorio Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lugano Futbol's Ziemowit Kloczko got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Frederico was a little too slow when Luciano Alvarez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, Ziemowit Kloczko notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Palmas's Honorio Frederico. Honorio Frederico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmas's goalkeeper Honorio Frederico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ziemowit Kloczko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Honorio Frederico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Oier's late challenge caught a Lugano Futbol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Oier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Palmas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Oier to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Frederico made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Ziemowit Kloczko sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the game, Lugano Futbol's Eloy Herauso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honorio Frederico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Hermengildo Liberto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Honorio Frederico came out and tried to block the shot, but Hermengildo Liberto slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 34th minute. Luciano Alvarez had several of the Palmas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-0 score and a disappointed Honorio Frederico as he didn't even see the shot coming. Luciano Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Frederico having to interfere. Ezequiel Oier hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Luciano Alvarez had several of the Palmas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 7-0 score and a disappointed Honorio Frederico as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Hermengildo Liberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Honorio Frederico came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lugano Futbol's Luciano Alvarez. But to his dismay, Luciano Alvarez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. The Lugano Futbol fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Lugano Futbol's Ziemowit Kloczko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Luciano Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugano Futbol's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Alvarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorio Frederico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the game, Lugano Futbol's Luciano Alvarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honorio Frederico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Luciano Alvarez sped through Palmas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Honorio Frederico. In the 82nd minute, Hermengildo Liberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lugano Futbol's Ruud Wollans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Lugano Futbol from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the game, Lugano Futbol's Zacarias Pere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honorio Frederico made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Lugano Futbol's Eloy Herauso got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Frederico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Herauso in the 89th minute of the match. Luciano Alvarez scored 14-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Honorio Frederico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 95 minutes, Hermengildo Liberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugano Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermengildo Liberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lugano Futbol's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
