Segundo Guib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Gündüz Özkar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Segundo Guib was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. ACADEMIA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erling Haaland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

Remigio Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Guib having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Gündüz Özkar in the 57th minute of play forced ACADEMIA FC's goalkeeper Segundo Guib to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
