Spectators: 7527 (Terracing: 5646, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Teyo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Aldo Rubio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Areco Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lucjan Ciborek scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leo Urtats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Jacobo Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Abalos took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Urtats. Leo Urtats dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Abalos in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute Raimundo Abalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marek Griggss short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Stamatis Kalabokis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Areco Juniors's Stamatis Kalabokis got control of the ball when Marek Griggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Lucjan Ciborek sped through The Red Devils's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leo Urtats. Areco Juniors's Stamatis Kalabokis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Areco Juniors from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Santxol during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes The Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Santxol. 47 minutes into the match, Areco Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Lopes came free, but Stamatis Kalabokis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Areco Juniors were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Marek Griggs made the kick off in the second half. The Red Devils's Leo Urtats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save The Red Devils from getting a goal against them. After 52 minutes of play The Red Devils's Jacobo Paz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 53 played minutes The Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Paz. The Red Devils's Leo Urtats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save The Red Devils from getting a goal against them. The supporters of The Red Devils booed when Areco Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Neron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucjan Ciborek came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leo Urtats could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, The Red Devils's Anacleto Lopes got a free kick in the 64th minute. Stamatis Kalabokis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Silvio Eliazar threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Red Devils's Filiberto Ponc quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to The Red Devils getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jonathan Teyo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Cristo Quilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areco Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Quilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Urtats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anacleto Lopes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Lucjan Ciborek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Abalos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Jonathan Teyo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
