But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Txaran couldn't finish the play. In the 13th match minute, Juárez AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Ponce to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Gelmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Juárez AFC were awarded a corner. Generoso Fe went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Claudio Lander managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Racing Galaxy's Gilberto Gelmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Galaxy from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Gelmiro made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Claudio Lander sent off a good shot on target. The Juárez AFC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Juárez AFC's Claudio Lander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gregorio Raebert struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Gilberto Gelmiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juárez AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Claudio Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juárez AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Lander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Gelmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Juárez AFC's Nemesio Ponce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Gilberto Gelmiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Checa in the 40th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Juárez AFC's Generoso Fe got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gilberto Gelmiro. Cristobal Checa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gilberto Gelmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lamine Bonnard hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Man Nejmann made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Cristobal Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juárez AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Checa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Gelmiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Checa in the 56th minute of the match. Gilberto Gelmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Perfecto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 64 minutes, Cristobal Checa made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Racing Galaxy's Gilberto Gelmiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Racing Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Ponce came free, but Gilberto Gelmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldomiro Hechter during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute Claudio Lander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Gelmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Gelmiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Lander's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Evaristo Elizardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Chuse in the 80th minute. Racing Galaxy's Gilberto Gelmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Escobar in the 93rd minute of play. Claudio Lander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Racing Galaxy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
