After 54 played minutes Racing Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Lamine Bonnard. The audience was convinced that Claudio Roland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Gelmiro was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 65th minute Gogo Millrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Gelmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Racing Galaxy's Gilberto Gelmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Ostadar in the 67th minute of play. Gilberto Gelmiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Vicente Chuse took a quick shot and it went in 5-2 without a chance for Fidel Salvidor to make any attempt to save it.
