The audience was convinced that Filomeno Goyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Dunixi was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Anier Menendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Aritza, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Ranquelcó's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Etor came free, but Cayetano Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Viejo Lobo De Mar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ranquelcó.
