Spectators: 6800 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julio Vargas kicked off to start the match. When Benjamin Txeru came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Lipeo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Txeru couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Lipeo's zone, Doyok Pangalila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Figueroa came out of the goal and Doyok Pangalila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Vargas in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Figueroa saved Lipeo from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Julio Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Julio Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. CACHIVA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Figueroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeledon Figueroa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Vargas went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When CACHIVA FC's Julio Vargas in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lipeo's goalie prevented a goal. After 23 minutes, Miguel Orzaize mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lipeo and the CACHIVA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zeledon Figueroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes, Julio Vargas made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Lipeo's Zeledon Figueroa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Lipeo's Honorio Nastasio got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Vargas in the 35th minute of play forced Lipeo's goalkeeper Zeledon Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Julio Vargas sped through Lipeo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zeledon Figueroa. CACHIVA FC's Julio Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Julio Vargas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Figueroa. Lipeo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Vargas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Benjamin Txeru made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Julio Vargas lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Zeledon Figueroa. Vinicio Clemencin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Txeru, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Julio Vargas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeledon Figueroa. That made the score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. Eustaquio Goito struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Vinicio Clemencin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lipeo. Vinicio Clemencin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Txeru's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 70th match minute, CACHIVA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Nastasio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute of the match CACHIVA FC got a corner. Lipeo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ildefonso Karmel ran over to the corner to take the kick.
