The referee ignored Duendes Verdes's protests and gave Damian Gabirel a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Duendes Verdes got a freekick which was hit by Damian Gabirel. Ildefonso Bilbo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rene Xabat made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Villa Urquiza FC's Maximino Abadie. Nicanor Ioritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Amado Katia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Duendes Verdes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Ioritz to maneuver through the defense. During the 92nd minute of the match Ildefonso Bilbo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ildefonso Bilbo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Despite being the better team, Villa Urquiza FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
