Independiente FC got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Otsoko. 9 minutes into the match, Cosme Romero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benedicto Joseph, 1-0. In the 19th minute, Gilberto Iyan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benedicto Joseph. The goal made the score 3-0. Gilberto Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Benedicto Joseph tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Cosme Romero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. C.A. Independiente FC's Arnoldo Brais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Cordeiro in the 27th minute of play. Benedicto Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Iyan in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Entamoeba FC's Gabriel Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnoldo Brais narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Joseph having to interfere. Teodosio Cordera hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Entamoeba FC's Benedicto Joseph got control of the ball when Gilberto Iyan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 43 minutes, Baldomero Etor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Independiente FC and the Entamoeba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Baldomero Etor hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Iyan made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Iyan in the 50th minute of play forced Entamoeba FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Joseph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Joseph stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Iyan's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Gilberto Iyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, C.A. Independiente FC's Arnoldo Brais got control of the ball when Gabriel Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Cerilo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benedicto Joseph. Entamoeba FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Entamoeba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Edur to maneuver through the defense. C.A. In the 78th minute Gilberto Iyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Cerilo might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedicto Joseph. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Gilberto Iyan put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benedicto Joseph. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosme Romero during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Entamoeba FC booed when C.A.
