When Epifanio Tibalt fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Policial's protests and gave Epifanio Tibalt a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Policial's Epifanio Tibalt got a free kick in the 4th minute. Segundo Bermudez came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jose Cayo could save by the left post. 10 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Policial's goalkeeper Jose Cayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Segundo Bermudez. In the 11th minute, Domingos Venerando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atletico Policial's Jose Cayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Fidele in the 15th minute of play. Rolando Mancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ulises Celio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Norberto Gagriel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Policial's Roberto Pitin got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Policial's zone, Tomás Fidele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Cayo came out of the goal and Tomás Fidele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Igor Fe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Bermudez in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Cayo saved Club Atletico Policial from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Lucio Francho in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Atletico Policial's Epifanio Tibalt. In the 44th minute, Palermo FC's Lucio Francho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lucio Francho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Palermo FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lucio Francho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After the first half Club Atletico Policial were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolando Mancio made a kick off. Jose Cayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Fidele, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Fidele in the 54th minute of play forced Club Atletico Policial's goalkeeper Jose Cayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Fidele in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Cayo saved Club Atletico Policial from getting behind. Rolando Mancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Celio having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Gilberto Xabel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Policial's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo FC the free kick. Gilberto Xabel hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Jose Cayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Argenis in the 77th minute of the match. The Palermo FC fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Palermo FC's Tomás Fidele looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Policial's zone, Tomás Fidele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Cayo came out of the goal and Tomás Fidele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Mancio's late challenge caught a Palermo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Mancio helped the player get up and apologised. Rolando Mancio kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When Tomás Fidele came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Palermo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Fidele couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Palermo FC had played much better football throughout.
